Development of an electromechanical complex for the educational laboratory of the University
Many projects and tasks related to the testing of drives of various kinds, types and purposes go through us. For the most part, these are one-time tasks that our customers face.
NS-Technologies has implemented a project on the basis of one of the leading technical universities of Saint Petersburg for a laboratory of industrial automation and electric drive. This project is interesting not only for its scale, but also for the complex integration of the entire list of automation equipment into a single system. This project is related to testing and specialized research equipment.
NS-Technologies has implemented a project on the basis of one of the leading technical universities of Saint Petersburg for a laboratory of industrial automation and electric drive. This project is interesting not only for its scale, but also for the complex integration of the entire list of automation equipment into a single system. The project is related to test and specialized research equipment.
The main task of the project was the design and development of an electromechanical laboratory complex for semi-natural modeling of production processes and dynamic objects.
The test complex is designed for laboratory and research work in the field of AC and DC electric drive systems.
The electromechanical test complex includes several electric motors from 11 kW to 15 kW with position sensors, frequency converters, a programmable logic controller and an HMI visualization tool.
Frequency converters have the ability to operate in the mode of consumption and regeneration of electricity to the supply network to simulate various production situations.
The developed software has access to all the parameters of the frequency converters and the output of the graphic interpretation of the operating parameters on the HMI visualization screen in real time. The minimum time interval of data acquisition - no more than 4 ms.
The visualization system is implemented on the HMI Simatic KP700 connected to the PLC via Profibus and Profinet interfaces and is a graphical user interface that allows you to select the operating modes of the test complex and set their parameters.
In the course of this project, NS-Technologies carried out work on:
- Mechanical design and assembly
- Drawing up and implementation of basic electrical circuits of the object
- Ensuring the safe operation of equipment
- Installation and programming of the security system
- Software development based on PLC Siemens Simatic S-7 1214C
- Setting up the data exchange of the S-7 1214C controller with Sinamics G120 frequency converters using the Profibus protocol
- Start-up and configuration of an electric drive system with 11 and 15 kW asynchronous motors in Siemens Starter software
- Development of a control system for a load twin-engine object in the TIA Portal software
- Development of a visualization system in the TIA Portal software
We find a very promising and interesting format for interaction with technical universities. This area is interesting not only as an engineering service, but also as a contribution to the academic development of one of the areas of industrial automation.
