Modernization of the pumping system for increasing the pressure of the hotel complex

In this project, booster pumps were installed for the utility and fire-fighting water supply system in the water metering unit of the hostel's residential building located at the address: Leningrad Region, Kingisepp.

Initial conditions: The city networks did not provide the required costs for the needs of domestic water supply and internal fire extinguishing, and therefore a Hydro MRC-E Grundfos pressure boosting unit with three pumps (2 working, 1 standby) was required.

  • Installation productivity Q = 6-10 m3 / hour, Н = 27-24m,
  • Electric motor power of each pump is 1.1 kW.

Solution: The pumps were installed through vibration dampers on a common base frame, protected from dry running. The delivery was carried out complete with piping, fittings, instrumentation, control cabinet. To reduce the number of pump starts, a 1000 liter membrane tank was installed.

The pumping unit operates in automatic mode through a frequency converter using a pressure sensor.

The pumps will be switched on:

  • Remotely from the buttons at the fire hydrants.
  • Manually at the pumping station.
